Polyclonal Anti-Rab Antibody Series

Dr FUKUDA Mitsunori et al, Graduate school of Life Sciences, Tohoku University, generated polyclonal antibodies against three Rab proteins (Rab21, Rab27B and Rab32) during their research focusing on two major processes “Transport of melanogenic enzymes or melanin” and “Dendrite formation” in melanocytes existing in various tissues such as skin and hair. It is revealed that Rab32 is involved in “Transport of melanogenic enzymes”, Rab27A, a closely related isoform of Rab27B, in “Transport of melanin” and Rab21 in “Dendrite formation” by the analysis using antibodies above. These antibodies may contribute to the research on the role of each Rab protein in various biological phenomena. The technologies related to such antibodies were transferred to and then commercialized by EMD Millipore Corporation.

Western Blotting Analysis:
Representative blot data.
C2C12 (Lane 1), mouse brain (Lane 2), and PC3 (Lane 3) lysate were probed with Cat. No.ABS1026, Anti-Rab27B (1:1,000 dilution). Proteins were visualized using a Donkey Anti-Rabbit IgG secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates Rab27B (~27 kDa)
